35 Day Prayer PlanSample

Adoration
This week, we will focus on prayers of adoration, which draw us into worship by focusing on who God is rather than what He does. It stirs awe, gratitude, and love as we reflect on His attributes: His mercy, sovereignty, beauty, and more. Through adoration, prayer becomes less about asking and more about delighting in Him.
Day 22 – Adoring God’s Holiness
When Isaiah saw the Lord in His temple, the first word declared by the angels was holy. Holiness is God’s defining attribute; He is set apart, pure, and without flaw. To adore God for His holiness is to recognize that He is unlike anyone or anything else.
Holiness both draws us in and humbles us. Isaiah immediately felt the weight of his sin in light of God’s purity. Yet, in that exact moment, God extended mercy and cleansing. Holiness reminds us of God’s perfection and His grace toward imperfect people.
Our only reaction is to admire His holiness and marvel at His greatness. That is the beginning of adoration, which shifts our gaze. Instead of starting with our needs, we begin by exalting the God worthy of praise for who He is. To adore His holiness is to stand in awe of His majesty, to confess His greatness, and to worship Him with reverence.
Today, take time to adore God for His holiness. Praise Him not for what He does but for who He is, perfect, pure, and glorious.
