Run With the Horses: Living the Life God Calls You ToSample

Jeremiah was tired, frustrated, and discouraged. He had been faithfully speaking God’s truth, yet life felt unfair. The people doing all the wrong things seemed to be thriving while he struggled. So, he asked God, “Why do the wicked prosper?”
God’s reply was this: “If you have raced with people on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses?" In other words, if you’re already feeling worn down, how will you handle what’s ahead?
God wasn’t dismissing Jeremiah’s feelings. He was inviting him to look bigger—to see that following God takes endurance. Life with him isn’t just about surviving the easy stretches—it’s about discovering strength in the hard ones.
Pray: God, you see how tired and worn down I feel. Help me not to settle for a safe, coasting faith. Show me how to see challenges as opportunities to grow and give me courage to keep running with you, even when it’s tough.
