Still His Son: Lost, Found, and Forever Changed by God’s LoveSample

Grace Doesn’t Quit
Carlos spent most of his life searching for love. Unfortunately, he looked for it in all the wrong places—parties, addiction, street life, people who only saw what he could give them. Deep down, he just wanted to be accepted. He wanted to matter to someone.
That hunger led him straight into trouble. He found himself facing a serious prison sentence, convinced this was the end of the road. Somewhere in that rock-bottom moment, something shifted. He gave up doing things his way and surrendered.
Do you know what Carlos said that stuck with me? “You’ve got to get to the point where you’re tired of being tired.”
Carlos didn’t just get clean. He got free. He found out that God wasn’t holding a grudge. He wasn’t waiting to say, “I told you so.” He was waiting to say, “Welcome home, son.”
Maybe you’ve been stuck in that same cycle—trying to prove yourself, trying to get it right, falling back into what you said you’d never do again. Maybe you’re wondering why God would keep giving you another chance.
Here’s why: because you’re still His.
Grace doesn’t quit. Not on the first fall, or the seventh, or the seventy-seventh. God isn’t tallying up your failures—He’s calling you back to your identity.
The world may say you’ve had enough chances.
But your Father says, “Let’s try again.”
You’re not just someone who messed up.
You are still His son.
Reflection Questions:
- What’s something you’ve been afraid to ask God for one more chance with?
- What would it mean to stop earning grace—and start receiving it?
Prayer:
Father, I am tired of being tired. I’ve fallen more times than I want to admit. Today I want to believe You haven’t given up on me. I don’t have to earn Your love—I just have to come home. Help me trust Your grace and walk like I still belong to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan

You can lose everything—your family, your freedom, your future—and still not be beyond the reach of God’s love. Still His Son isn’t about perfect lives or easy faith. It’s about men who ran hard, fell far, and discovered that even in their worst moments, God never stopped calling them “son.” These stories aren’t fairy tales—they’re soaked in grit, grace, and the kind of redemption only Jesus can bring.
