Mary Magdalene's Journey: 'Healed & Free' (Part 2)Sample

Called to Share
Do you remember back in your school days? There was always another one of those fads that all the kids chase after and that one kid in your class was always the first to have “the latest thing” and then acted really arrogant about it? Well, you won’t see Mary Magdalene behaving like that.
Even though she was the first! The first to see and meet the risen Jesus. And the first to be sent out by Him to proclaim the good news. Mary Magdalene didn’t gloat about it, she just went–and told the disciples what had happened. Mark 16 tells us this exact story.
And wouldn’t you know it? At first, they didn’t believe her. But her voice ultimately mattered. Her story mattered. Her place mattered. It goes to show: you don’t need a perfect past to be a powerful witness. You don’t even have to have a perfect present. Some stories are most powerful when told through tears…
Matthew 5 says we are the light of the world. That light isn’t meant to be hidden—it’s meant to shine. Your story might feel small or unfinished or wrapped in shadows, but in God’s hands, it is part of His redemptive plan. Sharing doesn’t require a certain stage of personal development—just a willing heart. Mary Magdalene’s heart was willing. How about yours?
Who in your life might need to hear your story?
P.S. Are you enjoying this journey with Mary Magdalene? Your own character might even resemble hers. Care to find out? Take our The Chosen 'Test of Character' and journey for a while with the character you have the most in common with.

About this Plan

Mary Magdalene’s healing is deeply personal. Jesus set her free from spiritual oppression and invited her into a new life. Over five days, we’ll explore Mary Magdalene’s story and what it means for us today, because healing isn’t an end—it’s the start of a journey with Jesus into freedom. Ready to walk with Him? You can read this plan separately, but it is also part of The Chosen's 'Test of Character' journey.
