Death Is Not the End: Healing & Hope Through GriefSample

Death Is Not the End
Jesus said that here on earth, we will have many trials. He also tells us not to fear these trials because he has overcome them all. We don’t have to fear because our earthly death is not the end, but the beginning of a brand-new way of life in eternity. Jesus offers the hope of eternal life in Heaven, a place more wonderful than we can imagine.
Before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, he said to his sister, Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.” Then, he asked, “Do you believe this, Martha?” (John 11:25-26 NLT)
This is the question we all must answer. Do we believe that we will truly never die when we believe Jesus is the Savior?
If you’re not sure if your loved one is in Heaven, this can be a very difficult part in your grief journey. There’s a powerful moment in the Bible of a man being crucified next to Jesus. In his final moments, he turned to Jesus and said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:42-43 NLT).
Jesus loves each of us and relentlessly pursues us, even in our final moments. And the hope of eternity is the promise we can be sure of when we put our faith and trust in him.
About this Plan

The death of a loved one is one of life’s most devastating experiences. Grief doesn’t just affect one part of you—it hits every part: your emotions, your body, your thoughts, your relationships, and your faith. It can feel like the world has shifted, and nothing makes sense anymore. But no matter how grief affects you, there are ways to find hope and healing in the midst of it.
