Living in the Jaw-Dropping Realities of God’s GoodnessSample

Get Help at Your Crossroad
The prophet Elijah won a battle with hundreds of false prophets, only to face an unexpected crossroads due to a death threat. “You killed my prophets, and now I swear by the gods that I am going to kill you by this time tomorrow night” (1 Kings 19:2 TLB), warned Jezebel, the wife of Israel’s King Ahab. Pushed into fight or flight mode, Elijah fled. He ran into the wilderness (the very place many believers have spent lifetimes trying to leave), sat under a juniper tree, and prayed to die. And as he sat there, he had a choice to make: give up or trust God. Elijah was at the end of himself. At a pivotal crossroads, he had to shift his focus and trust completely in God.
When you’re at a crossroads looking for answers, where do you go? What do you do? How do you respond? With fear or faith? This life of faith is not for the faint of heart. Even the most victorious of believers reach points when they are exhausted while waiting for answers to prayers. At that crossroad of decision, believers are asked to decide between trusting God and remaining stagnant in a place of hiding.
While not every crossroad begins with a life-or-death situation, the power of the crossroad is its ability to unlock your future by an act of obedience. One act of faith will thrust you into prophetic fulfilment! Remember, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead” (James 2:17 NIV). You must act or risk being stuck in a situation that thwarts your purpose and God’s plan for your life. And you must get help. Elijah prayed at his crossroad, and God answered, sending an angel with simple instructions and supernatural provision. Pray—and ask for the help of Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit was sent specifically to help believers. He is accessible and ready to assist. God knows what you need at the crossroads. Holy Spirit knows what to pray. You’ll never successfully live in the jaw-dropping realities of God’s goodness without Holy Spirit’s help!
Prophetic decree: Arise, and get in your Word, for there is a great journey ahead of you. I declare Holy Spirit will help you be successful. I declare that as you cross over and obey, you will walk into an unimaginable "Ephesians 3:20" season.
