Aren’t you thankful for the promise that God will never abandon you? Do you feel afraid and perhaps like God is nowhere to be found? Sometimes fear can irrationally grip our hearts. However, God has promised never to leave us alone. Since He is our helper, there is no need for us to be afraid. He promises to remain by our side always, while our responsibility is to have no fear and to trust in Him. We sometimes fail to pray God’s promises because we struggle to trust them. Make today’s promise the confidence you need to trust Him completely.

Father, help me to know that You are always near.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
