5 Minutes That Change Everything: Meeting God in the MomentsSample

Be Still for a Moment
“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10, ESV). That sounds good—but it’s hard to do. Stillness feels like a luxury in our loud, busy world. But even one minute of silence with God can reset your heart.
You don’t have to say anything. You don’t have to read anything. Just stop. Take a breath. Remember who He is. Let yourself be reminded: God is in control. He is with you. He is for you.
Stillness isn’t empty—it’s full of presence. It’s a way of stepping out of the noise and remembering that you’re not alone. That you’re not in charge. That you are deeply loved.
If you’ve never tried being still before God, start small. Try one minute today. No agenda. Just awareness. He’s there.
Gospel Truth: In Jesus, we don’t have to earn God’s presence—it’s already ours (Ephesians 2:18, ESV). Stillness is how we stop striving and start receiving.
Reflection
When today can I pause—even for a moment—and remember that God is near?
