God, Are You Testing Me?Sample

It’s easy to believe that trials mean we’ve done something wrong. But what if the presence of a trial actually means we’re walking in the right direction?
Jesus, the Son of God, perfect in every way, faced trials, temptations, rejection, betrayal, and pain. He wasn’t spared hardship just because He was righteous. In fact, He stepped into it on purpose, to show us how to walk through it with faith and endurance.
When we suffer, we’re not alone. We follow a Savior who’s been there. He understands the ache of unanswered questions and the sting of betrayal. He knows what it’s like to be misunderstood, exhausted, and even tempted. But He also shows us that we don’t have to be overcome by those moments.
In John 16:33, Jesus told His disciples: "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” That’s not a warning; it’s a promise.
He doesn’t promise a trouble-free life, but He promises peace that makes no sense to the human mind while you are in the middle of it. He doesn’t remove every trial, but He gives us the strength to endure it. He may be silent, but He is never absent. Usually, what is needed to overcome has already been deposited within us.
If Jesus faced trials, and He was in the center of God’s will, then your current trial doesn’t mean you’ve failed or gone off course. It might just mean that you’re being formed in a way that brings you closer to Him.
Reflection
Does knowing that Jesus experienced trials shift the way you view your own struggles? How can His example give you hope today?
