A Minute of HopeSample

You know those moments in life that mark you forever? Sometimes they are good moments, but life is riddled with so many difficult moments as well. Jesus told us that in this world we would have tribulation, but to take heart, because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). What a promise He has given us! Through the years, I have learned that God’s glory and goodness assuredly go hand in hand with the perils, trials, and tribulations that life brings. But here is the good news: As we abide in Him, we are victorious because He holds the victor’s crown! What a hope we have in Jesus! But here is the key: Our hearts need to remain connected to Him, and this happens in communion with Him; it happens when we walk with God, when we talk to God and pray.

Prayer: When You Need a Miracle

Lord, today I remember how You have delivered me. Whether I knew it or not, You were always there. Your eyes were always set on me; even before I was knit in my mother’s womb, You knew me. You said that You would never leave or forsake me. You are carrying me now, and I know that Your faithfulness will carry me through to the other side of this season. Lord, You have never failed me! Jesus, Your miracles are memorials that I can look back on and be reminded that if You did it once, You will do it again! You are loyal; You are forgiving; You never break Your promises. My confidence is in who You are. You delivered Daniel from the mouths of the lions, You opened up the Red Sea for Your children to pass through, You gave up Your life and conquered death and the grave! Lord, I lay every impossible situation at Your feet; help me never forget where You brought me from. I give all that I am to You. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. You are the miracle-working God who never fails. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
