Unpacking My Griefcase: 5 Day DevotionalSample

Day 5: Moving Forward with Grace
Grief does not have a destination; it’s a journey. It’s a process, one that may not ever end. Moving forward doesn’t mean forgetting—it means carrying your grief-case differently. By leaning on God’s grace, you can continue the journey without being defined by the pain. Trust Him as you take the next step.
Paul’s words in Philippians remind us to press on, not because it’s easy, but because God has a purpose for our journey. Grief doesn’t erase God’s plans for you. As you move forward, His grace enables you to keep going, even when the path feels uncertain.
Action Step: Write down one step you can take this week toward healing, whether it’s reaching out to a friend, joining a grief group, or spending intentional time in prayer.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for walking with me through this journey. As I move forward, help me to rely on Your strength and grace. Amen.
