Hope in the Midst of Chaos: Devotions for Teen MothersSample

Day 1: Embracing Your Journey
Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) - “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
As a young mom, it can be overwhelming to navigate the challenges that come with motherhood at such an early age. You may feel lost or uncertain about your future. However, God has a unique plan for your life, even if it doesn’t look like what you had envisioned.
Consider the story of Rahab in Joshua 2. Rahab was a woman with a past; she was a prostitute living in Jericho. Despite her mistakes, she chose to help the Israelite spies, demonstrating faith in God’s plan. Her actions led to her being included in the lineage of Jesus (Matthew 1:5). This shows us that no matter where we start from or what mistakes we have made, God can use us for His purposes.
Reflection: Take a moment today to reflect on your journey. Write down three things you are grateful for as a mother. Remember that God sees your potential, he forgives our sin and has good plans for your future.
