Gracious Heavenly Father,

We come
before You
thankful
for the invitation
to draw near.

To know
we can
enter into
Your presence,
where we
will not only
be accepted,
but where
we will be
welcomed
and rejoiced over -
fills our heart
with both
comfort and
unspeakable joy.

So Father God,
we come.

On knees
bowed low,
with hearts
poured out,
with hands
open to You
we lay ourself
before You.

Take what
is not of You
and release us
from its grip.

Free
our minds
of worry,
our lips
of malice,
our hearts
of self.

Free
our God-given dreams
from doubt,
our God-given talents
from pride,
our God-given calling
from complacency.

Give to us
all that You are
and bind us
ever closer
to Your heart.

May we
walk out
into our world
with
a humble attitude,
a gentle spirit,
a selfless heart.

May we
walk out
into the lives
of others
with
a holy boldness,
a soul-reaching,
soul-saving mentality,
a sold out,
used up and
poured out for our Master,
abandon.

Here we are, Father God.

Take us,
change us,
send us,
use us.
