Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool" (Isaiah 1:18).
Are you maintaining your walk with the Lord?
Isaiah confronts a people given to compromise. Although the Lord cares for Israel and calls her His vineyard (Isaiah 5:1, 7), she has adopted sinful practices. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,” proclaims Isaiah, “who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). The erring people need to seek the God of Light and repent of their sin. John writes, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Repenting from known sin is essential to walking with God.
Employment Point: Repent and confess your sin to restore fellowship with God.
