Mark - Living in the WordSample

VERSE OF THE DAY:
Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!”
- Mark 9:7
REFLECTION:
- Peter, James, and John experienced the miraculous!
- The glory of God showed up, and God told them to listen to Jesus.
- Jesus is worth listening to!
- God doesn’t speak to PERFECT people.
- He speaks to people CLOSE to Him.
JOURNAL POINTS:
- When was the last time you heard from God?
- Everyone hears from God differently. Where do you hear from Him?
- (In worship? In the Word? When it’s quiet? In chaos?)
- What situation will you put yourself into today to be close to Jesus, so you can hear from Him?

About this Plan

The Gospel of Mark is considered by some to be the most important of the “synoptic” gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), mainly because it was the earliest written. With brevity and urgency, John Mark describes the birth, life, work and teachings of Jesus Christ. Highlighted with action and vivid storytelling, this Gospel underscores the transformative power of faith and encourages us to remain steadfast in our commitment to Christ.
