Pray Through the PsalmsSample

Help Me
In Psalm 20, David is saying a prayer for himself and his nation. He's asking God for help in this time of trouble, especially as he's preparing to go into battle. David believes that God is the one who gives him strength and victory. He’s also hoping that God will accept his sacrifices and offerings and give him everything he needs to lead the nation well.
The psalm ends with a declaration of trust in God's power and confidence that He will answer David’s prayers. It's like a pep talk and a reminder that like David, we can rely on God to help us through any difficult situation.
Guided prayer: “God, I need your help. I can’t face what’s before me alone. Come alongside me with your wisdom and give me courage. Thank you for hearing me when I call and coming to my rescue. I know that you’ll take care of me. Amen.”
