Romans - Part 1: SINSample

Romans 3:9-12 No one is good...
Sometimes in Scripture, we are faced with hard and confusing truths. The apostle Paul tells us that no matter who we are, no matter what we do, no matter where we come from, we are all the same. All of humanity is equal; we are all born in and with sin. Because of this, our character, our conversations and our conduct are sinful; we seek out our own interests in all of it. We turn away; we do not attempt to find God. We have become worthless; “No one does good, no, not one.”
Wait...
Did I read that right?
Yes!
That is how grievous sin is to God. We have to understand the state of helplessness we are in to realize what Jesus’ death on the cross did.
Jesus took our sin by His blood, shed as a perfect sacrifice. On our own, apart from Christ. we do nothing good. All goodness, salvation, and works come from Him, is Him, and through Him. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, God looks at us and sees His perfect son and daughter.
