His Promises
God has given us many promises. He gives the promise to restore the things in our past (Joel 2:25, 26). He gives us promises concerning today (Ps. 23:6). And He gives promises for our future, both here on earth and eternally with Him (2 Pet. 3:13).
As we read through our Bible, let us take note of the profusion of blessings God promises His people! Second Corinthians 1:20 says that “all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” That means that no matter what our past has been, no matter what we are facing today, no matter how bleak our future may appear, every promise in Scripture is for us.
What promise do we need to claim today? No matter what area of life we are concerned about, rest assured His promise will not fail! We are “fully convinced that what He [has] promised He [is] able also to perform” (Rom. 4:21).
