Our Weapons

2 Corinthians 10:4a

We fight with weapons that are different from those the world uses. Our weapons have power from God.

In this life, we need some weapons to defeat our enemy. Who is our enemy and what are our weapons? Our enemy is the devil. The devil always tries to make us fall into sin and destruction by injecting lies into our minds.

For example, when you feel you didn’t do well on your exam, the devil will try to make you feel so miserable as if there was no more hope for you. The thought haunts you and may lead you into doing things that will be bad for you.

This is just one simple example. The devil is the father of lies. His goal is to make us feel ashamed, hopeless, angry, guilty, unworthy, and all other bad feelings that will bring us down.

Praise God! He has given us the weapons we need. Among them is His Word, the truth that can set our lives free from the lies thrown by the devil. Speak out the word of God with faith. God’s word and our faith have the power to defeat the devil.

Moreover, always pray to God and ask your parents, your Christian teachers, or friends to support you in prayer as well. You are never alone, and you are precious in God’s sight.

Dear God, guard me from the evil thought and protect me from the evil one. You are my stronghold. Amen.
