Day 3 of 7 • This day’s reading

A New Creation

2 Corinthians 5:17a

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

Nothing lasts forever. Toys, school bags, shoes, or books serve a purpose but at a certain point, they will get damaged. When they become worn out or damaged, we will need to change them with a new one.

When we receive Jesus, we become a new creation as if we were in a whole new world. It means we are nothing like we were before.

Maybe we used to say bad things about people, but after we receive Jesus, we stop ourselves from doing that.

Maybe we used to feel jealous of other people’s achievements, but after we receive Jesus, we can feel happy for them.

Maybe we used to refuse to read the Bible, but now we are excited to read God’s word every day as our guide in life.

The old has passed away and the new has come. Let us live as a renewed creation that glorifies God alone.

Dear God, my life is Yours and my old ways of life have been renewed. May my life as a new creation glorify Your name. Amen.
