SOAP – 1 Kings 18:38-39 God shows Himself strong in this miracle carried by Elijah. Through this miracle, all of the nonbelievers recognize the glory, power, and magnificence of God. Believers can allow a casual attitude to creep into our relationship with God. We can forget His holiness, His great power, and His transcendence above all of the laws of nature. God is not limited by time or space, nor is He ever taken by surprise by any circumstance we face. What miracles have you seen God do in your life or the lives of those you know? Will you pray about whom you can share that miracle with so that they might glorify God? Father God, You are the God that spoke the universe into existence. My finite mind can barely comprehend Your infinite existence. Lord, forgive me when I make You small in my life, when I put You in a box, when I attempt to predict Your ways and Your thoughts. Remind me, Lord, that the heavens declare Your power and Your handwork. Lord, may You always be elevated and lifted up high in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
