Sometimes, all you can do is stand back in amazement at what God does. If you had told me four years ago about the work we've seen done to free up religious freedom, I wouldn't have believed you. Yet, I'm watching God change history.
As we started this Covid-19 journey, we wanted to work really hard, but we knew that God is the one who allows us to do things we can never do on our own. And we see that happen week after week. Our weekly prayer meetings consist of everybody looking at each other on Zoom asking, how did the Lord just allow us to do that?
Everyone knows about the CARES Act legislation, but people don't know this—every church and religious nonprofit is allowed to participate. That wasn't always the case. We were able to see that there were some dangers in the act and we were able to get through a protection on the last day that protected every church and every religious nonprofit in the country.
Then, even more recently we had the first case ever in the history of the country in a pandemic about constitutional freedoms. And it was just a grand slam. The fact that God let us do that, the fact that He is opening these doors, makes every day a new miracle.
When you watch God at work, all you can do is sit back in amazement. This is my prayer for these times: Lord, without you, we really can't do anything. But with you, we can do anything. Help me to trust on you and wait on you, knowing that you will accomplish things I could've never dreamed of.
