Times of Crisis: Hope During COVID-19Sample

It does not get more literal or specific than this. Today, God is promising to protect you when pests, epidemics, or contagious and deadly diseases threaten you.

Does that mean we can go around, challenging the virus, abandoning social distancing and hugging people on the streets because the Psalm says God will protect us? Of course not. The same Bible that promises God's protection in all things exhorts us to have proper hygiene care and tells us to respect our government and follow their instructions.

What is undeniable and a source of tremendous encouragement is the clear promise that you will always be under God's care when you take shelter in His hiding place, daring to stand under the protective shadow of our God in every circumstance. 

There is no need for profound and complicated interpretations here. God promises His spiritual protection if we position ourselves in the right place. So make sure you are at the right place: socially distant from people, but very close to God.
