There’s more JEHOVAH
The people wanted to build a tower but they did not have their usual stone as from a quarry and they did not have mortar to bind bricks together. So they made bricks instead (HAVAH) of stone and they used tar (bitumen) instead (HAVAH) of mortar. We have seen that HAVAH is part of God’s name JEHOVAH and means “being” or “becoming”. In Genesis 11:3 they did not have stone but brick “became” like stone to them. They did not have mortar but bitumen “became” like mortar to them. In other words they made something they did have to “become” (HAVAH) what they did not have. I have even used a kitchen knife to “become” a screwdriver when a screwdriver was unavailable!
In Gen.3:14. “I am who I am” can be translated as “I will be what I will be”. In other words the God whose essence never changes will become different in some way. For example, when we require care God becomes (HAVAH) our shepherd, when we have a need God becomes our provider, when we feel guilty God becomes our righteousness and when we need healing God becomes our healer. Our God JEHOVAH becomes what we need.
Prayer: I shout Hallelujah to God JEHOVAH who always becomes who I need
