2 Kings

After centuries of conquest and struggle, King David united the twelve tribes of Israel into a kingdom and led them into a golden era as a nation. 1 and 2 Kings recounts what happened over the next 400 years: from the prosperity of Solomon's reign, to civil war and the construction of temples, to worshipping other gods. Through it all, the books point to this resounding truth—Our God Reigns.

We will explore the lives of prophets, kings and queens and how they led God's people in the eyes of the Lord. Some choose "evil" and others "to do what's right". Amid the land's idolatry, bold men rose up to call out evil and call the nation back to God.
