Family Is the Legacy
This isn’t advice that will land me new clients, but it’s more important than the next sale: our children are not a distraction from our most important work…they are our most important work.
If you’ve chosen to be a parent, your greatest legacy is not your business, brand, or bank account. It’s them.
I know it can feel like you’re falling behind when you choose family over speed or growth in your business. But there will come a day, sooner than you think, when your children are out in the world on their own. And in that moment, you’ll have all the time in the world to work…but you’ll never get those precious years back.
I’ve had to learn to manage my own drive…to know when enough is enough. Because the truth is, you will never regret a slower business growth curve if it means you were present for your family.
God has given us tools in this digital age to build businesses efficiently without sacrificing the moments that truly matter. The discipline is in drawing the line…choosing to value the legacy of family above the lure of constant hustle.
At the end of the day, we can have both success and family. But we must be disciplined enough to know what really matters most.
•Where might I be choosing business opportunities at the cost of precious family moments?
•What boundaries do I need to set so I can build a legacy that truly lasts?
Father, thank You for the gift of family. Remind me daily that my children are not in the way of my calling…they are at the center of it. Help me to draw wise boundaries, to manage my own ambition, and to choose presence over busyness. May I leave behind not just a business, but a legacy of love, faith, and family. In Jesus’ name, amen.
