Sometimes the “hustle and bustle” of our days, along with the challenges, can make it hard to maintain a positive outlook. We can feel discouraged, disappointed, or even downright cranky. A change of perspective can keep us going when our resistance is down. Focusing on worship, listening to praise music, engaging in laughter with a friend or our children, and praying for strength and determination to persevere can lift our spirits. Let’s look at a few illustrations.

Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart does good like medicine…” Good humor may very well be one of the greatest blessings from the Lord, especially in the context of marital relationships.
