Hosea 6:4-10
Hosea 6:4-10 TPT
“Ephraim, what am I going to do with you? How should I deal with you, Judah? For your faithfulness is as fleeting as the morning mist, like the dew that quickly disappears. This is why I have used my prophets to slice you open and the words of my mouth to slay you. For my judgments wake you up like the blazing light of dawn. What I want from you is steadfast love not simply dead sacrifices; I want you to know me intimately not simply give burnt offerings. But, like Adam, you have broken my covenant. How unfaithful you are to me! “Gilead is a city with streets stained with bloody footprints, a city known for its evildoers. “The priests are like a gang of robbers waiting in ambush, a gang of priests who commit murder on the road to Shechem. What heinous crimes they have committed! “I have witnessed a horrible thing in Israel’s temple; there Ephraim practices temple prostitution, grossly defiling Israel.
