We can be tempted to view the final greeting as something to be easily glazed over. How Paul ends his letters are important because they are what he wants to be our key takeaway.
Out of all people being exhorted to rrejoice Paul should be one, yet he is exhorting others. The worst situation we imagine cannot compare to the joy of being in the presence of God in heaven. Rejoicing should be the foremost mark of every Christian. We must constantly rejoice no matter what season of life we are in
2) Aim for restoration
Where we have thought wrongly theologically we have been impacted spiritually and need to rebuilt.
3)Comfort one another
When a fellow Christian sins we should comfort them in their time of need. We comfort one another by the gospel. WE ARE NEVER DEFINED BY OUR SINS, which gives us comfort for the future.
4) Agree with another.
We should agree with key doctrines of the faith central to Christianity.
5)Live in peace
6) Holy kiss
We also live in community but it is with fallen people in a fallen world. We need a realistic view in the light of the church. We are united by a common mission.
Because of our sin we are worthy of death but God has graced us. Partially the merits of Christ's perfect life granted to us. GOD TREATS US AS HE TREATS HIS SON!!! "The grace of our lord Jesus christ" means we have everything namely the love of God & thr Holy Spirit.
We have been granted the love of God by NO merit of our own.
