So your gay and its ok?
Where do you start regarding my subject? It is very controversial as people who claim to be gay are seeking rights, especially regarding marriage.
In California it was put to a vote and the the gay marriage issue failed as most of us here voted that marriage is between one man and one woman. But do you think it passed? Yes it did, not once but twice, yet it was overthrown by our court system stating it was unconstitutional.
Alright, the tells me that our voting system needs an overhaul. As it stands, it is still in the court system, at least the last time I check on it. But this is just one thing and many states have pass to allow gay people to marry.
Fine, that is something I can't stop it and it's just one of the signs that we are living in the last days as more and more our great country drifts from the very foundation our country was built on, Gods' Word.
But in truth, when we look at the marriage rights they want, it is more about tax benefits that goes with marriage, then I suppose it is fine, but no matter what the piece of paper says, marriage is still one man and one woman.
Many lesbians and homosexual people say this is the way god made me. My answer, basically more thinking then outright saying it in front of these people, "Come on and get a grip on yourself! God did not make you gay!"
There are many out there who profess to be Christians and feel that it is alright with God. Why would I bring this up? Because there have been denominations that have ordain minister and priest who openly confess they are gay.
Basically it comes down to that they are making up their own god that meets their life style. They most likely think like others that there are two different Gods. The one in the New Testament, which is the God of love and the Old Testament, which is a God of anger and punishment. Well, I hate to burst your bubble, they are both the same God.
The God of the Old Testament is the very same God as the New Testament, and He is Holy and Righteous and He never changes as we read in Hebrews 13:8
"Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever."
Yet there is a minority of people who takes His teaching regarding love and twist it around, well truthfully, Satan, twist it for them, to believe that it is fine to be gay.
Yet they are following an teaching that is totally opposite of the truth of God's word.
So how did all this thinking come about? Well lets look what God tells us in the Book of Romans:1
"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened....
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchange the truth of God for a lie...
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lust. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men....
Further more, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind to do what ought not to be done."
Now doesn't that blow you away! I guess you can say God made them that way, right? No!
God does not do force Himself on anyone. The people who claimed that God made them this way, just did not want God in their lives, so God just let them go there way.
God hates sin! Homosexuality and lesbian is a sin and I will also state a illness of the mind. These so call believers think Jesus done away with the laws written in the old testament, yet Jesus tells us that He did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it. these people do recall what the Lord did to Sodom and Gomorrah, that is not my God. My God is loving and understanding. (Like I said, they made up their own God to justify the way the live.)
Hello! The God of the Old Testament is the same as the New Testament.
Here is the bottom line, we cannot stop the movement of gay marriages by protesting. It is not God's way. These people, just as many of us, are lost and separated from God because of their sins. God does not hate these people, He hates sin and homosexuality is sin, just as murder, lying, stealing and so forth.
So how can we let these people know that it is wrong and if they don't confuse and repent of they will die? It is by prayer and seeking the Holy Spirit to fill us with the right words that will melt their harden hearts.
You see, while the church is still here, just as others, we need to reach these people for Christ. Once they know the truth, their lives will be changed.
As true follows of God, we already know that God does not want any of His creation to perish and we know all sins lead to death.
It is up to us, to share the gospel in love, not condemnation, because it only turns people away. In other words, don't go up to a person a tell them they are headed to hell because of their sins. Though it is the truth, you are condemning them and there is no better way to chase a person away then to make yourself better then you attitude.
In order to reach people, it has to be done tactfully and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Jesus showed us in His word what it takes to witness to others by conversing with them on their level. Examples is the woman at the well, Nicodemus, the rich man. In each case, Jesus meet them where they were at and turned their lives around. He did not condemn them, He loved on them.
Another example is Paul when he tells us that he meets others on their own ground to reach them. One of the best testimonies of witnessing he did was when he was in Greece, and the people were praying to an unknown God and the way he brought Jesus as being Him.
Yes gay people can be reached and there have been many people who once lived a gay life that have been reach by the truth of Gods word.
Remember, we are living examples of our Lord on this earth, and we are called to witness and spread Gods word until He returns for us.
Gay people need God love just as we do. They are blinded from the truth and we followers of Jesus knows that their life style only will lead to their deaths as my passage inform us. Our lives and witness to all who have not accepted Christ, are watching us. Their lives hang in the balance of our actions in word and deed.
As brothers and sister in Christ, we maybe called intolerant people, but expect it. Don't allow today society keep you from telling the truth of what Jesus taught us.
"For I am not ashamed of this good news about Christ. It is the power of god at work, saving everybody who believes." (Romans 1:16 NLT)
So seek the Lord and ask for His wisdom when witnessing to anyone. As long as the church is still here there is work to be done and that is to reach people with the truth of His Word.
I could go deeper than I have, I have negative reactions when someone posted on Face Book about Christians and gay people, saying pretty much the same as I said here.
True followers of Christ, will reach out to these people and tactfully explained the truth of Gods word to them, but we can't do it alone, because and flawed humans to, we will have a tendency to condemn instead of reaching them. It will come by asking God to fill us with the right words that will penetrate their hearts. Then they will see God did not make them the way they claimed and they will feel Gods love and hopefully turn form the error of their ways. Just as you and me have before knowing the Lord.
