Gamo – (gmv) Ethiopia The latest census shows that less than 2% of the people of Ethiopia speak Gamo. They use both the Ethiopic and Latin scripts. Literacy rate is very low among the Gamo people. But the government is developing educational material which will include this language. This language code (gmo) was retired after the publication of the Ethnologue, 16th edition. The new code for the Gama language is gmv.
