Blessings for Those Who Fear God
A song of ascents.
1How happy is everyone who fears the Lord,
who walks in his ways! # 128:1 Ps 112:1; 119:1,3
2You will surely eat
what your hands have worked for. # 128:2 Is 3:10
You will be happy,
and it will go well for you. # 128:2 Ec 8:12
3Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
within your house,
your children, like young olive trees
around your table. # 128:3 Ps 52:8; Ezk 19:10
4In this very way
the man who fears the Lord
will be blessed. # 128:4 Ps 115:13
5May the Lord bless you from Zion,
so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life # 128:5 Ps 20:2; 134:3; 135:21
6and will see your children’s children!
Peace be with Israel. # 128:6 Ps 125:5; Pr 17:6
