The Sümi New Generation Bible NT Update aims to revise the 2026 Sümi New Testament in accordance with recent linguistic reforms introduced by the Sümi Literature Board (SLB), such as new word-joining and splitting conventions. Initiated upon the recommendation of Sümi Baptist Convention (WSBAK), the update focuses on making the Bible more linguistically accurate and accessible to younger and newly literate Sümi speakers, while maintaining theological integrity and cultural relevance. The translation approach prioritizes faithfulness to the original texts with a balance of literal and idiomatic renderings, careful treatment of textual variants, gender-inclusive language, and contextual explanations through footnotes. The project avoids doctrinal, political, or racial bias, and follows the NIV11R style guide and versification, with a strong emphasis on exegetical accuracy and contemporary clarity.
