God’s Eternal Reign
1The Lord reigns! He is robed in majesty;
the Lord is robed, enveloped in strength.
The world is firmly established;
it cannot be shaken. # 93:1 1Ch 16:30–31; Ps 96:10; 97:1
2Your throne has been established
from the beginning; # 93:2 Lit from then
you are from eternity. # 93:2 Ps 9:7; 90:2; 103:19
3The floods have lifted up, Lord,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their pounding waves. # 93:3 Ps 96:11; 98:7–8
4Greater than the roar of a huge torrent —
the mighty breakers of the sea —
the Lord on high is majestic. # 93:4 Ps 65:7; 89:9; Ezk 43:2
5 Lord, your testimonies are completely reliable; # 93:5 Ps 19:7
holiness adorns your house
for all the days to come. # 93:5 Ps 29:2; 96:9
