17 일

데살로니가는 바울이 3주간 머물면서 복음을 전한 곳입니다. 데살로니가 성도들은 복음을 믿고 그에 합당한 행위를 하였으며, 사랑의 수고와 우리 주 예수그리스도께 둔 소망을 굳게 지키는 인내를 가지고(살전1:3) 있었다고 하였습니다. 그러나 성도 가운데 어떤 이들을 게으른 옛 습관과 세상의 음란함을 버리지 못하고 있었습니다. 또한 거짓교사들과 이단들이 그들을 유혹하고 있었습니다. 이에 바울은 그리스도인들이 믿음을 지키며 일상생활에서 거룩함을 나타내라고 합니다. 그리고 재림의 때를 깨어 기도하며 준비하라고 합니다. 데살로니가 성도들의 살았던 시대는 현대 그리스도인들이 살고 있는 시대와 크게 다르지 않습니다. 본서의 묵상을 통하여 성령님께서는 예수그리스도 안에서 다시 한번 우리의 믿음과 사랑과 소망을 새롭고 굳건하게 견인해 주실 것입니다. 할렐루야!
