Today in the town of David a Savior has been born for you! He is the Messiah, the Lord.

but the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid! I’ve brought you good news that will give great joy to all people.

“Glory to God in the highest heaven! Peace on earth to all those he wants to bless!”

Jesus became wiser and stronger, and he pleased both God and all the people more and more.

Here is how you can recognize him: You’ll find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.”

There were shepherds out in the fields nearby, taking care of their sheep that night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. They were terrified
