Day 3: Already Blessed in Christ — Wealth from Heritage

Devotional
In the world, blessing is something people chase. In the Kingdom, blessing is something we start with. Ephesians 1:3 declares that God “has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” That is present tense. In Christ, you are not trying to get blessed—you are discovering what you already have.

Ephesians 1:7–8 shows the foundation of this inheritance: “In him we have redemption through his blood… in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.” Redemption is not only forgiveness; it’s a reset of your identity and capacity. God doesn’t just rescue you; He repositions you as an heir with access to His resources and wisdom.

Romans 8:15–17 confirms this: you have received “the Spirit of adoption,” and “if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.” Wealth creation, then, is not a desperate climb for status; it is the outworking of your inheritance. You build and steward from your place as a son or daughter, not as a spiritual orphan trying to survive.

Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us again that God gives the power to produce wealth “to confirm his covenant.” Your ability to create value, innovate, lead, or invest is connected to covenant, not coincidence. Markets may shake, but covenant stands.

When you understand that you are already blessed in Christ, you stop hustling for worth and start stewarding from identity. Your business, career, or creativity becomes a platform to express who you are in Him—not a project to prove that you matter.

Reflection
Where are you still striving for what God has already given you in Christ? How would your financial decisions change if you truly believed you are an heir, not a beggar?

Prayer
Father, thank You that in Christ I am already blessed and adopted as Your child. Shift me from striving to sonship, from fear to faithful stewardship. Teach me to see my work and wealth as expressions of my inheritance in You. Let my decisions today align with Your covenant, not with fear of lack. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
