LIVING HOPE - Reading With the People of God: Part 18ಮಾದರಿ

Whose Hands Hold Your Heart?
God’s resting place is with the humble heart that is willing to submit to His shaping. God protects those that submit to His hand. His fury and anger fall heavy upon those who ignore His promptings to turn to Him; His signs and wonders that He designed specifically for them. There are only so many times His Holy Spirit will prompt you to turn from the filth of the world, and set your gaze squarely upon Him before God withdraws His hand and allows you to experience His wrath rather than grace. God chooses whom He chooses, and only He knows the timing of all things.
Are you willing to gamble with that biblical truth and lean on your own understanding? He is a good God, He will not force you to choose Him. Just as when you do choose Him, He will not force you to stay. That choice is yours to make. He will cleanse you in the blood of His Son and bring you into His House. But it is solely up to you on how long you stay. God does not have loyal captives; He houses faithful servants that choose to be His.
To know Him, we must seek Him. To seek Him, we must read His Word. To read His Word, we must be disciplined. To be disciplined, we must submit to Him. To submit to Him means to know Him.
There are many voices vying for our ear gates. If we are not living in a rhythm of constantly seeking God's presence, we open the door to the potential of being led astray by a voice that is sent to deceive. There are no shortages of voices crying out to be heard and liked and followed and admired. Do not let yourself be tricked into a trap designed specifically for you. Stay vigilant and alert over the door to your heart. For the throne of God is in the heavenly places and heavenly places are within you, if only you submit to His call and open the door when He knocks. If you don't, you run the risk of missing the last call and assigning your eternity to endless flames and torment.
This is the fear of the Lord, to fear being a willing participant in your own doom by walking out from underneath His mighty wings; His protection. Ego says you got this and don't need a Savior. Humility teaches you to place the only thing you have of value into the hands of the only One who can truly save you.

ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ

In this 18th installment of Reading with the People of God, we follow a lectionary rhythm of Old Testament, New Testament, and Psalms. This plan journeys through Isaiah 40–66, where God speaks comfort, reveals His Servant, and promises new creation. Alongside Isaiah, we read Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, and 1and 2 Peter—letters that call us to endurance, holiness, and hope in Christ. Together these readings point us to the living hope we have through the gospel. May the Spirit strengthen our faith and anchor us in God’s everlasting promises.
