Atos 13:2

In Acts 13, a shift occurred that changed the course of history. It wasn’t a strategy meeting; it was a move of the Spirit. Based on the "Antioch Protocol," this 3-day plan explores how to cultivate an atmosphere of sensitivity to the voice of the Holy Spirit, the courage to obey specific calls, and the vital difference between being sent by men and being sent by the Holy Spirit.

Fasting is not just an attempt to please God. It is a spiritual practice that brings about the supernatural and releases power in the most unexpected ways. Throughout Scripture, fasting positioned people for breakthrough, clarity, deliverance, strength and encounters with God. There are dimensions of spiritual power and sensitivity that are only unlocked through prayer and fasting. Never reduce fasting to religion. It is a weapon. It is surrender. It is hunger for God that makes room for the supernatural to move.

In this follow-up to the Sent by the Spirit devotional, author Robo Joan explores the profound grace of election and divine alignment. Often, confusion arises when human wisdom replaces the Holy Spirit’s leading. Yet, God chooses, calls, and uniquely equips each of us. Discover how to recognize your true calling, embrace the grace to function, and align with God’s sovereign design for your life. The gifts and calling of God are truly irrevocable!

Fasting is going without food for a set amount of time to awaken our bodies and souls to our deep hunger and need for God. It’s one of the most powerful — and neglected — of all Jesus’ practices. This plan, by Practicing the Way and John Mark Comer, features key ideas and practical suggestions for us to integrate fasting into our everyday lives.
