Grace With a Taste of Cinnamon

DAY 5 OF 5

When a Holiday Becomes a Blessing

A true Christmas does not end with a festive evening but continues with the kindness we share every day.

God never confines His grace to Himself. It always moves forward, touching others through us. That’s how a holiday turns into a blessing, when our joy goes far beyond the boundaries of our home.

Christmas is not only about receiving, but also about giving it forward. When you light a candle, its light does not fade if you light another from it. On the contrary, it gets only lighter in the room. The same is true for love – you don’t lose it when sharing – it only grows.

Sometimes a simple gesture, like a call, a helping hand, or being there for a person, is more than enough to chase away someone’s darkness. For the light that once came to Bethlehem keeps on shining even today through those who love.

May your Christmas never confine itself within the calendar. Turn it into a lifestyle where every day is full of generosity, care, and grace. That is what makes a holiday a real blessing.

Steps of Love

Let these steps of love help you today to make Christmas living beyond the festive date:

  • Invite someone who is lonely to dinner or spend some time together.
  • Do something good so that no one would know.
  • Support someone who’s having a hard time with your prayer or practical help – be for him/her a beam of God’s grace.

And then…

All the gifts are unwrapped, the candles are burning out, but Christmas doesn’t end. For the true Christmas is not a date, but a lifestyle.
Let this period of time remind us that all that we have is the gift of our Daddy. And the best way to celebrate Christmas every day is to give our Daddy’s grace forward.

«Lord, I thank You for Your indescribable gift – for Jesus Christ, through Whom You gave us life, hope, and love. Please, teach me to see Your grace in ordinary things, receive it with gratitude and share it with others. May every day of my life have some of Your light, a little bit of warmth and a tiny bit of cinnamon, as a reminder of Your presence in our midst. Thank you, Father, I love You.”

Amen.

Thank you for taking this plan together with us!

We hope these days of prayer helped you to get closer to God, hear His voice, and live with new clarity, power, and hope.

About this Plan

Grace With a Taste of Cinnamon

For most of us, cinnamon smells of holiday – warmth of a home, hot tea, snug and coziness. But a real Christmas also “smells” of grace – God’s love that comes into the most ordinary things. This plan is about learning to “savor” grace even in the simplest gifts.
