Parenting Through God’s Lens: Seeing Your Child the Way God Doesნიმუში

DAY 2 – Redefining Success
Scripture:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Devotional:
The world defines success by performance — good grades, achievements, and perfection. But God defines success by obedience, faith, and growth.
When we parent by the world’s standards, we unknowingly pressure our children to “earn” love or acceptance. But when we parent by God’s definition, we teach them that their worth was settled at the cross, not on a report card or stage.
Redefining success helps your child focus on purpose over performance. And it reminds you that God’s goal isn’t perfection — it’s transformation.
Reflection:
Do I celebrate my child’s growth or only their results?
Prayer:
Father, renew my mind and reshape my definition of success. Help me celebrate progress and faithfulness more than perfection in Jesus’ name, Amen.
