UP!ნიმუში

Onwards and Upwards
Main Idea: God calls us to lift our eyes.
In moments of pressure or fear, our natural reaction is often to look inward, searching for strength we no longer have, or outward, scanning for circumstances to change. But Scripture consistently invites us to look up. Before feeding the five thousand, Jesus looked up to heaven (Luke 9), reminding us that miracles begin not in our hands, but in our focus.
When we look up, our peace is restored. In Genesis 13, God told Abram to 'lift your eyes' and see the land He was giving him. It wasn’t that the promise suddenly appeared—it was that Abram finally saw it. When Peter looked to Jesus on the waves, he discovered the power of faith over fear. Each story reminds us that when we look up, we see differently.
Peace doesn’t come from perfect conditions—it comes from an upward posture. Looking up reorients our hearts to hope. It reminds us that God hasn’t abandoned us; He’s inviting us to trust Him again.
So today, lift your eyes. Look up before you speak, before you decide, before you worry. Miracles still begin with a glance toward heaven.
Prayer Focus
Lord, help me lift my eyes to You for peace in the storm, power in the step, and vision for what’s ahead.
