New Mind, New Heartნიმუში

Living with the Mind of Christ
Having the mind of Christ is not a spiritual title—it’s a way of life. Paul sums it up: “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5).
Jesus lived with His eyes on the Father in everything. He didn’t act out of ego but out of obedience. When Peter tried to “advise” Him to avoid the cross, Jesus replied: “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns” (Matthew 16:23). Ouch. Has that ever happened to you?
Metanoia re-centers us. We’re no longer the focus—Christ is. That means taking up our cross (Matthew 16:24) and letting His life define ours. As Colossians 3:10–11 says, “put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”
In practice, living with the mind of Christ is seen in how we treat others, how we make decisions, and how we face challenges. It’s thinking, feeling, and acting like Jesus in everyday life.
Reflection Questions:
- Which part of your character best reflects the mind of Christ? Which part least?
- What does “taking up your cross” mean for you in your current context?
Challenge:
Today, before reacting to any difficult situation, pause for 10 seconds and ask yourself: “How would Jesus respond here?” Then act with that perspective.
