Have Courage

We all face a variety of daunting situations. Life often hands us situations that seem overwhelming or discouraging. Some of us are facing changes in our job, an unexpected move, or challenges in a relationship. God’s people have come up against difficult situations for generations, but he has always made it clear that their challenges were not theirs alone. He faithfully walks alongside those who follow him, offering peace, strength, and help along the way.

Consider the example of Joshua. Did the Lord tell Joshua to be strong and courageous because the journey ahead of him was going to be simple, easy, or restful? No! God was fully aware of the challenges Joshua would face. He foresaw the strength of his enemies, impassable terrain, and the challenges he would face with his own people. God knew that he would need great courage to walk the path laid out for him. His command to be strong came with the promise of his presence. He reminded Joshua that though the journey would be difficult, he had God on his side.

Just as the Lord was with Joshua, he is with you in your current situation. The same principles apply to your story. You are never alone because God is with you. You are fully equipped to face whatever is before you because God is on your team. He invites you to lean on him, and he is not overwhelmed by your troubles. Your burdens are not too much for him to bear. In fact, he longs to carry them for you. He calls you toward strength and courage, and he offers you everything you need to get through the day. Trust his leadership, rely on his wisdom, and find solace in his presence.
