Reading With the People of God #12 - the Good Lifeნიმუში

Choose Wisely!
We live in a world where we like to have options from which to choose. We like to choose the foods that we eat, the friends that we hang out with, the sports team that we support, the job that we have, where we live, etc. This isn’t a good or bad thing, but the choices that we make do come with consequences. Things that result from those choices. As you read today's Bible passages, you will see this regarding who we choose to serve. The choice that we make regarding whether we serve God or not. You might even want to ask yourself these questions as I did:
Is my God just a symbol that I wear around my neck, or is He the God that I choose to serve?
Does God get in the way of the life that I want to live or does he offer and possess the life that I desire?
The point seems to be that who or what we choose to serve, and yes, we all serve something, will dictate the life that we live, the decisions that we make, and the consequences that follow. So, choose wisely today. There is a God who loves you beyond reason and is very much worth being the one you choose to serve.

About this Plan

This is the twelfth installment of a Bible reading plan following the lectionary pattern, offering daily readings from the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament. Each day includes a devotional primer to help prepare your heart and mind for a deeper, more meaningful encounter with Scripture. While this plan is designed to align with Holy Week in April, it can be used at any time, though it will be most relevant during that season.
