Bondye te pwomèt Abraram ak pitit pitit li yo pou l te ba yo tout latè pou eritaj. Bondye pat fè pwomès sa a paske Abraram te fè sa lalwa mande, men paske Abraram te gen konfyans nan li. Se sa k fè Bondye te fè l gras.

Abraram ak desandan li yo te jwenn pwomès pou yo posede lemonn antye. Men Abraram pa t jwenn pwomès sa a paske l t ap swiv Lalwa. Li te jwenn pwomès sa a, paske l te jis devan Bondye poutèt lafwa li.

Car la promesse de recevoir le monde en héritage a été faite à Abraham ou à sa descendance non parce qu’il avait obéi à la Loi, mais parce que Dieu l’a déclaré juste à cause de sa foi.

Dieu a promis à Abraham, et à ceux qui allaient naître de lui, qu’ils recevraient la terre. Mais cette promesse, Dieu ne l’a pas faite parce qu’Abraham a obéi à la loi. Il l’a faite parce qu’il a reconnu Abraham comme juste à cause de sa foi.

It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.
