Men Bondye pa t bay Abraram yon pati pou limenm. Li pa t bay Abraram menm yon pous nan peyi a. Okontrè, Bondye te pwomèt li l ap ba l tout peyi a nèt pou l rete ansanm ak pitit pitit li yo. Men Abraram pa t ko gen pitit lè sa a.

Pourtant, il ne lui donna ici aucune propriété, pas même un mètre carré de terre. Mais il lui promit de lui donner le pays tout entier, à lui et à ses descendants après lui, alors qu’à cette époque il n’avait pas encore d’enfant.

Là, Dieu n’a donné aucune propriété à Abraham, pas même un petit morceau de terrain. Mais il lui a fait cette promesse : “Je te donnerai ce pays, tu le posséderas, toi et tes enfants après toi.” Pourtant Abraham n’avait pas d’enfant.
