But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another, for he who loves others has fulfilled the law.

Every person must be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist have been appointed by God.

The night is nearly over, and the day is almost here. So let us lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Love does no harm to its neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Therefore render to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, fear to whom fear is due, and honor to whom honor is due.
