LEADERSHIP WISDOM FROM the WILD

DAY 6 OF 30

The Strength to Rise

If there is any creature that teaches us about divine strength and spiritual agility, it is the deer. Scripture says, “The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills” (Habakkuk 3:19).

The deer is not the strongest animal in the forest, yet it moves with grace, speed, and balance even on rugged terrain. Likewise, leadership is not about physical might but about the strength that comes from God. Every hill of responsibility and every valley of challenge demands supernatural strength that lies beyond human capacity.

Prophet Habakkuk had experienced both plenty and pain, yet he declared that God Himself was his strength. Strength for leadership does not come from charisma, connections, or position; it flows primarily from communion with God.

Maybe the journey has felt steep lately. Perhaps your faith is weary from constant climbing. Remember, grace provides what grit cannot. When your strength runs out, God’s strength begins.

Consider: Where do you feel weak today? What would it look like to let the Lord make your feet like deer’s feet, enabling you to find His strength for your next step?
