LEADERSHIP WISDOM FROM the WILD

DAY 11 OF 30

Know Yourself in God

The ostrich flaps her wings joyfully, yet she cannot fly. She may not soar in the sky like the eagle, but she runs with unmatched speed on the ground. She knows her strength. She knows herself.

Many leaders struggle, not because they lack ability, but because they do not know who they are in God. They spend their energy wishing to be someone else instead of maximizing what God placed within them. The ostrich never envies the eagle; she celebrates her own lane.

King David said, “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). You were not created by accident. God crafted you deliberately, with a unique design and divine fingerprints. When you understand who you are in Christ, comparison loses its power.

To know yourself in God is wisdom. It frees you from people’s opinions and grounds you in divine purpose. You don’t need to do everything others do; you need to do the one thing God created you for—and do it well.

Consider this: Where are you trying to fly when God designed you to run? What would it look like to fully embrace your God-given design and run your race with joy?
